DOT Annual Inspection for Trucks & Trailers
Federal rules (FMCSA, 49 CFR 396.17) require commercial motor vehicles to have an annual inspection every 12 months. We do these inspections for trucks and trailers at your location, so the units do not have to be driven to a shop.
What this covers
- Annual inspection of trucks and trailers on location
- Inspection of the systems listed in the federal minimum standards, such as brakes, coupling devices, steering, suspension, tires, wheels, lighting and exhaust
- Repairs for problems found, in the same visit where possible
- Inspection of several units in one visit for owner-operators and fleets
Call us when
- Your annual inspection is due or expired
- You operate several trucks or trailers and want them done at your yard
- You want problems found and repaired before a roadside inspection finds them
Annual inspections are required by FMCSA regulation 49 CFR 396.17 for commercial motor vehicles, including trailers. Call to discuss your units and schedule an inspection at your yard. For many units at once, see Fleet & Yard Service.
