I-355, the Veterans Memorial Tollway, runs north to south through DuPage County and the west and southwest suburbs. It crosses I-290, I-88 and I-55, and its southern end reaches I-80 near New Lenox, giving trucks a way between the west suburbs and the Joliet area without going near the city.
